So I bought this at the beginning of the week, and I have never ever tried tanning lotion before. I can never get a tan because I have very sensitive skin and if I try to naturally I burn too easily. I also don’t believe in tanning beds and I’m not allowed to get an airbrush tan so I felt like this was the only solution. I tried it the first night of having it, right after my shower and I was surprised at how smoothly it went on. It left pretty sparkles wherever I applied it to and you could already start to see some color. The next morning, I found out that I had missed a lot of spots and it turned a bit streaky in a few areas. Missing part of your body can not be blamed on the product, but the streaks can. The color was nice though, it was very natural looking and left a nice glow. The next night I used it, I had my mom help me apply it to the spots I missed. I put more on and did it more evenly. However, the next morning, I woke up and there were areas that I again completely missed. I know for sure I applied lotion there, so I think possibly it rubbed off onto my clothes. When I washed my hands, all the color came off from my wrist as well which was not good. It still looked a bit streaky and didn’t work at all on my legs.
SO in conclusion, tanning lotion takes A LOT of practice to get it right, and it’s better to do it when you don’t have anywhere important to go. I’m sure it will become easier once I know how to reach all over my body and another tip… wear gloves. Because this stuff turned my palms very very orange. Hahah.
Overall I like the product, it gave really nice color. It’s just one of those things that are a chance you have to be willing to take and takes a lot of practicing. Good luck if you pick it up! Maybe you’ll be better than I was :)
